Hi All. I made this site about the project Dad and i have done/continuing over the last 5 years. It started back in 2000, when we purchased a Gemi rolling shell for $600 from down south.

The initial Idea for this gemi was to paint it, use the camira mags on it, maybe an exhaust and that was it. How far off we were!! We started to strip the car down, and we in need of an engine.
In 2001 we found Just Gemini Spares. After having a good talk with the owner Steve, and realising his son was in my class, we had some idea changes to the gemini. Soon after we bought another gemini off Steve for $600 and drove it home. We removed the engine out of out new gemi and took it down to JGS and started working over it. Whilst there, we gave it a port and polish, added a TX head, cam, double row timing chain, and a 32/36 weber carby. Now to the body. We had decided to make the car a bit more shmick, and wanted to put more effort into it.
After stripping the car down to the bare shell, we started to rub the old paint back. To cut the story short, we rubbed it down to bare metal, bogged up the dents, smoothed the engine bay and dad sprayed the undercoat.

We Also had the car on its side to clean and paint under the car. Small jobs on the car were things like:Getting brakes, springs, splash pan, and rocker cover powdercoated. The inlet manifold and extractors were ceramic coated. In this time we had also bought a custom Recaro interior, and diff out of another gemini Additions to this bodywork was the original rear 1/4 vents were welded over and a kawasaki fuel filler was added. A mate of dads then came around and painted the car for us in a custom blue colour.

Other items such as ZZ/Z guards, grille and bumpers were sprayed blue. Handles, chrome window moulds were sprayed gloss black. This all consisted of hundreds of hours of sanding, sanding, sanding, sanding, sanding and more sanding. The main decision for the Black and Blue idea was to suit the Black Jazz mags we had purchased from an auction for the car. Once the car was sprayed inside and out, it was time to add the engine and hide the wires. (Dad being an ex-sparky,wired up the car, but from what i heard and saw.....it wasnt too easy!)
The inside of the car and the boot was sprayed with sound deadening tar. The boot was also boxed and carpeted, with the battery, fire extinguisher and fuel pump placed in it. We then added all the interior, including the dash which we completly removed! Other jobs were to put the windows in, get exhaust fitted, bumpers, grille, lights etc - I could continue to write for 10 more pages but it would suck to read. About 4-5 years later The Gemi is now on the road. We had it dyno'ed not long ago and it produced Approx. 85hp@6500rpm. Future Plans include keeping it clean, maybe put it in a couple of shows and DRIVING IT!!!!
